WE ARE STUDENTS, FACULTY AND UT CHRISTIAN STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS UNITED IN PRAYER AND MISSION TO REACH EVERY PERSON ON CAMPUS WITH THE GOSPEL OF JESUS.

Pray

Campus House of Prayer

The Campus House of Prayer, affectionately known as the CHOP, is a large tent setup on the third week of every month in the middle of campus where students from every ministry and church commit to join with other students to take one or more of the hour long time slots to fill every hour of the week with prayer for transformation at UT and around the world.

Reach

Tribes in Every Place

Through Tribes, students in any given pocket of campus connect with other believers to pray, be encouraged and work together to reaching their peers for with the message and presence of Jesus. We seek to mobilize Christians at UT, no matter what ministry or church they attend, to link together with other Christians to form a community on mission in their major, secular student club or residence.

Gather

Rez Week

Rez Week is an annual celebration centered around what unites us all – Jesus and his resurrection. It’s the Body of Christ coming together on campus for public prayer, worship, outreach and more, in events both big and small. The theme this year is ‘Whats After ATX?’

Leader Connect Group

Connect With God. connect with each other. connect the campus with Jesus.

The Campus Minister/Pastor Leader Connect Group meets weekly and unites pastors and staff from different ministries and churches serving UT praying for one another and the campus, building relationships with one another, and strategizing how they can work together to reach the campus. It’s all about getting campus ministries out of their individual silos and into humble relationships with one another, to see every student reached with the message and presence of Jesus.

Campuswide Gatherings

Catalytic Moments To unite the Body of Christ

For decades we have hosted campuswide worship nights, united outreaches between all the ministries and other events like the Collegiate Day of Prayer.  We don’t host events as an end unto themselves.  With every event we are seeking to see how it forms a catalytic moment that accelerates the united front of all the ministries and churches working with college students at UT forward toward reaching more students, staff and faculty.

JOIN IN UNCEASING PRAYER AND WORSHIP

Once each month, students, faculty and ministers commit to praying during at least one hour long time slot of the week for transformation of the campus. The Campus House of Prayer, also known as the CHOP, is available for anyone to join together, seeking God for the advancement of the Kingdom of God at UT in spiritual awakening and revival.  Click here to sign up for a prayer time.

The Campus House of Prayer @ UT Austin was previously in a building in West Campus.  This school year we decided to move it out in the middle of campus as a large tent.  Look for the Campus House of Prayer Tent once a month.

If you have any questions regarding sign-up, email us or call our office Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm, at (512) 331-5991. We look forward to meeting you!

Not only did my relationship with God deepen, but I also became part of a community that was passionate about seeking God for transformation on our campus. As I prayed with others at the CHOP, I began to form relationships with people that were founded in prayer and relationship with God.

– Celia Lugo, Sigma Phi Lambda Christian Sorority, Class of 2010

Leading, and even just being part of the Fusion Group, was one of my favorite things about college.

– Jill Baggerman, Class of 2012

I’ve seen students from several different ministries who are architecture students working together to bless the College of Architecture and Design. They pray together regularly, they move toward their peers in love and they seek to live out the Gospel.

– Todd Stewman, Campus Crusade for Christ, Campus Minister, 2003-2010

CAMPUS MINISTRIES

Here is a list of the ministries at UT Austin committed to the mission of reaching every person on campus with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are incredibly thankful for each of these organizations and churches. We couldn’t do what we do without them!
