TREES IN THE AUTUMN
One of the great blessings of living in Tennessee about 30 minutes from the Appalachian Mountains is to view the trees in Autumn. I went to partake today in this glorious transformation of the trees. Beautiful! Wow! My eyes were captivated with the glory of God’s creation. It is the beauty of God’s heart to give us gifts that can teach us about life, and in this process be stunned by The Creator. I think that is the point of being captivated, it grabs our attention, and hopefully helps us to stop and behold.
CHLOROPHYLL IS THE KEY TO TREE TRANSFORMATION
Why do the leaves in the Autumn transform from green to yellow, orange, red, purple, and brown? The answer is the absence of chlorophyll which is a pigment that diminishes due to the lack of Sun and cooler temperatures in the fall season. Chlorophyll when present, helps to mask the different colors of the leaves, and it is why we see only green leaves in spring and summer. Interesting! A leaf can be transformed by the Sun or lack of Sun.
JESUS IS THE KEY TO PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION
I love Jesus! God gives us His creation to teach us how things work in His Kingdom. One cannot truly experience transformation unless the Son of God is shining in His life. I see my sin always before me, and when I go through life without being conscience of Jesus it effects the way I live. Jesus, the Son of God helps me in my decision making and without God on the horizon then I look more like the world. Yet, when Jesus is my first love, and He rules my life and decision making, then Transformation is echoing through me and effects each person I come into contact with.
UNITY IS A KEY INGREDIENT TO GOD TRANSFORMING COLLEGES
Could we dream for one moment with the filter of a specific verse in the bible. The verse is Psalm 133 which talks about How good it is for brethren to dwell together in Unity. When this happens then God commands His blessing which then has the potential to touch everyone. What a great picture of Transformation on a larger scale. Unity in Christ Jesus can be much like Chlorophyll, and when present it can effect everything. Chlorophyll when present effects trees and the landscape is green. I mean every tree is green! When Jesus unites the body of Christ to work together and be functional then the blessing is commanded. I have traveled to some 50 campuses over the last 10 years, and as God unites His people it is captivating. I stand in Awe of His glory and goodness. I marvel in His working power, and I get a understanding and knowledge of His heart. It transforms me and makes me desire to be like Jesus. It brings the world to the conclusion that this is one of the reasons why Jesus was sent (John 17:23).
WHAT DOES YOUR LIFE REFLECT?
Does your life reflect Jesus to the point of Transformation? Are you apart of the landscape of God’s transformed united people? Are you a doer of God’s word by uniting with Christ, and His people to see Transformation on your college campus. When this Transformation process happens, and is lived out then we will see God’s glorious light shine on the campus, and His kingdom will advance on the college campuses of our Nation.
